Poem
In the silence of the night There is a pause before a quiet Voice sighs – lifting up hopes, dreams With faith, knowing that all things Are possible with God, His grace Brings to life – even those who are dead His love brings light from the darkness Joy from the desolate, life From the broken heart, the weary, The one who knows that His love Saves the soul from despair, Emptiness, devastation In the moments before the dawn There is a whisper from a heavy heart One who knows His love will come To those who believe He is the way – And, in their heart, choose to pray For His peace, His kindness, His grace To bring the light across the life Who has never believed in the joy of His blessings, The miracle of His mercy, His light Satisfying the soul who is discouraged The heart who is feeling unworthy The one who is afraid and disheartened, Feeling like love won’t ever find them Feeling like hope will never quiet their doubts, Encourage their prayers and faith, Make them believe there really is peace In the moments when a prayer is spoken, Filling the silence with love and devotion, Inspiring the spirit and erasing the weariness, There comes assurance that this love awakens… The stars and the moon, the sun rising soon To assure the spirit that love is still willing to give Their sacred prayers – responses, solutions Assurance that their heart is worthy, their soul is valuable To the One who created it all – moon and stars, The light that shines, sparkling inside – twinkling In the eyes who smile with wonder when their sacred Prayers are answered with the promise that His love Is the best answer they could ever expect to receive The best that God can give comes from His gift… With this sacred prayer, erasing every doubt – There is love that comes to life because He made the sacrifice, Saved my soul from sin – silenced the darkness within, His gift Redemption, - this sacred prayer praises Him!
