What I once thought was beautiful,
Handsome like the movie star, handsome
Like the caress of the moon against the 
Starry sapphire night, blazing with a glittery
Genius reflecting details like eyelashes
Wistful and whimsical, falling soft on the naked
Cheek - the fresh skin of someone who 
Doesn’t know the meaning of doubt, the clouds
That hang out with the moon and vibrate
In echoes, moving through the silence
Like a feel good moment when her memory
Erases all the colors of silence, the loneliness
Aching inside the heart who never smiles
With twinkling eyes or promising kindness –
Only glares at the reminders of the sunshine

What I thought was beautiful, that beauty
Became dark, like the dishonesty that roars
Through the memory, cruel as misery and just
As close to doubt as the soul can expect
To ever compare the attractive that reveals
Lost charms that never share the wonder, the joy
The incomparable hope built by a familiar
Truth, struggling to come alive in the heart,
In the life who finds out sooner than they should
Have that this beautiful isn’t superficial, clouded
By words or syllables, but composed on the miracles
Rich and sincere, secreted within the spirit
Who listens to the light, reflecting all the magic
Love so worthy that only God could stir this feeling
To life – erasing all the black with pure, untainted
Breathes of faith, belief in the Creator of beauty,
The Maker of inspiration, the splendor of an Author –

Who gave thoughts their hope, minds their insight
Feelings their desire and the wisdoms their experience
This is the Writer of each one of our stories,
The Designer of each life – each heart, each purpose
The Artist who captures the music, the person…
The revelation, the imagination, the experience
The creation – His gift to every soul who knows
He is the One who gave beauty its veracity, its sincerity

Beautiful isn’t something that you see with the eyes
Beautiful is something that erases darkness with light
Beautiful is something that mends the broken heart
Beautiful is something that only real love can bring out
Beautiful is something that frees the soul to shout …

Beautiful is all about…

Love without conditions – love that is His nature, 
Love that is the foundation
For a life that truly is magnificent - so beautiful that 
There is no way to describe its splendor – 
This is the beautiful that shimmers through the memory!
