I woke up this morning with this thought in my mind, there must be a God somewhere. In school, I was taught that there is no God so, I never gave the subject much thought. But I started to search, and what I found, left me thinking, there must be a God somewhere. When confronted with evidence they cannot refute, atheists say they have no need for God, So, it is best if He does not exist. To admit there's a God would mean he's in charge and they would rather perish the thought. I always thought they were serious intellectuals, but after listening to their defense, I have to say, there must be a God somewhere. Science explains the way that the natural world works. It is not in the realm of science to determine origins, Hence Science can’t prove that there is no God. The teachers who taught me there is no God, were rehashing a fable to me. So, despite what they taught me, I still believe, there must be a God somewhere. In the Classics, I read fables of gods and goddesses, and none of my teachers seem to mind. I guess they are okay with gods of the kind, who needs no worship and could care less how their patrons conducted their lives. Though fictitious, they are portrayed as supernatural beings, suggesting to me, there must be a God somewhere. When I research world religions, they all seem to agree there must be a God somewhere. They may disagree on specifics, or which god is true, but they do not deny God exists. The new agers declare that God is within me, I am god in myself. But when I look inside me, I am surely convinced, there must be a God somewhere. If there is no God, why do we need rules to govern how we live? Where did ideas of right and wrong come from? If there is no God, everyone is free to live as they please. Those who make rules act like God who they claim doesn't exist. From experience, we know that when a man thinks he is God, things turn out horribly wrong. So, from what I see in the society around me, there must be a God somewhere. I perceive a conspiracy to convince me there is no God. But when bad things happen, our leaders still ask us to pray. If there is no God, to whom do we pray? Why are we even sad? It is because, deep inside we know, how things ought to be. This “oughtness” to me is evidence that, there must be a God somewhere. The God I am imagining must be a real God. Like the one who created this world. He must be loving, and able to dispense judgment, unchangeable, omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent, supreme, authoritative, immortal, eternal, nonpareil. As I look at the evidence that is all around me, I am totally convinced, there must be a God like this somewhere.
