Zorba was a friend of mine momentum of lunacy shine insane shrieking lunacy to venture to an exotic island. Let's be free; snip the strap. sardonic heart phratry man Shamans are ritzy ladies! at the maximum load level a stampede of race cars Eternity or the abyss. for a full nine months! divine quintessence of altruism and exuberance is secretly smitten with you Swaying on the ledge of a cliff while you cower in a corner waste of your unlived life. Wouldst ascribe blunders? worst spoonerism wanders illiterate and "untainted." each sprain vociferously canorous harshness brash yet forlorn youth with a wide lyrical medley Lady psyche-soul lyricist One older spaniel forayed a soft spot for the queen Yet, the delight is quivering beyond her ethereal sway Eros's rubs sought with zeal eyes set on the immersion fully unwind and be enfeoffed Toledo-clad woman Mariza's sword sang compelling me to scale walls Chinese Wall of the Moon A lady is unfazed by booze Zorba performs Sirtaki music Her nerves were ruined flung around as a thong. A pinnacle of zeal and fervor eerie soul-sea vibe fog and flavorful air? The soul is scent, sky, and sea Fear of freight was forgiven Love yields in a flash what wants months. Zorba's realm is vast forthrightly, and strangely rooted in society's mother Fathomed lilac, pearl sand twisting with sunspots topaz, azure, bay shape atop a hill's rough slope Thyme, basil, mint, tarragon Fetishism threw me sweat-soaked waltz as no one watched Irresistible stoic chords slow saunter, joy, and grace lusty epithelial drumbeat goaded my mannerisms. Quivering in the muggy heat writhed, wiggled, and twisted lusty, sloe-eyed Irene Papas screamed to Greek deities all along the white oak brook our shared secret refuge. Retsina Wood Ambrosia oak-aged Dionysus reds Garlicky lamb rice aioli Sinuous qigong mastery revealing my wild side Tsamiko on turning the sixth decade steel tongue drum Threnody. Sourberries and breeding cows split lumber, winter timber June blackberry bramble vine-soaked room gardens gained a greater godsend tides of a joint passion lonesome and untraveled I found my emerald gem. I recall Zorba's roar lost in these words Inkwell and boss! Waltzing... Written: January 2nd, 2023 Metrical Tale Cash Prize Poetry Contest Sponsored by: Hilo Poet
