Poem
It happened in a moment One breathless twinkling, graceful Stirred by the wonder, the miracle Erasing all the darkness, Destroying sorrow, Bringing hope and heartfelt Wishes, dreams, feelings Blessed by the tenderness, Sensations so wonderful, so gentle They felt like the endless waves Oceans of completion, seas Silencing the rain, the storms Ending the gray and bringing hope In hues of laughter, rays of Inspiration, soothing the pain Exciting sensitivity and creativity, Awakening the wonders So alive that heartbeats thunder Through the tears and fears, Delighting the moon and stars, Shimmering with brilliant hopes It happened and all my broken Became complete – I became me More me than I had ever believed I might be – more me than I Had ever been before and more me Than I could have hoped to know It was graceful and pure, Like joy, elation, euphoria… Hopelessly lost in the moment, The gasping whispers, the sighs, the song Singing of love more alive than I could Hope to define – more alive than the passion, More real than any explanation, More me – I became more me… Than the answers Revealing my hopes and dreams, My joys and fears – the tears that fade Into the past, only leaving a trace of liquid Like the dew falling against a tender leaf, Racing toward the most beautiful petals, the flower A smiling assurance that this LOVE… Will quiet every doubt, inspire in ways That the darkest clouds can’t possibly evaporate! This love – roused in the one moment When his kiss broke through my doubts, Sending chills, sparks of wonder… Through my heart – in that one breathless Moment, there came assurance… That this love was my forever and always This love – would only grow stronger This love – would soar to the utmost horizons Bring joy that I had never thought of… It happened in one moment… Love that sings my song in a rhythm of hope and joy, peace so warm, wonder that is never wrong, beauty that simply sings along, into the night where I discovered the one who gave me a love so very strong!
