Poem
There was once a girl so happy that despite her imperfections, her smile would shine brighter than the sun. When the sky would turn dark and a storm would brew, you could bet she’d run in and bring back the sun. Her laugh almost like a sirens song managing to distract everyone around her from their rain clouds and bring out their sunlight. As she constantly assisted to everyone else’s affairs, her powers were absorbed by the negativity, leaving her unable to bring out her own sunshine. She didn’t realize by being the hero whom took away the rain clouds of the community, that she’d only been consumed by everyone else’s. Despite her being followed by the heavy dark clouds that were ready to pour down on her at any moment, she continued to bring out the sunshine for everyone else. No matter how far she ran or how hidden she tried to be, the storm caught up to her after the years. The storm grabbed her, put her in a glass box, put it on a boat, and pushed the box overboard, leaving her to sink. Trapped in a glass box on display deep down in the ocean where the light never shines, she watches as the fish swim by her, wanting to be free and swim with the fish she tries and tries to leave the box, however no matter how hard she tries to push it open, the clear plastic doesn’t break. now she spends all of her time in the dark trenches of the sea, unable to free herself and swim back up to where you can see the sun.
