Morocco at the 2022 World Cup,:
Morocco is the first African nation to reach the semi finals of FIFA World Cup tournament after 92 years and 49 attempts.
Morocco entered the World Cup as FIFA's 22nd ranked team.
It has been a historical journey for Morocco Football Team and the entire Africa, carrying the heavy burden of African Continent.
Dramatic journey in group stage, first game against Crotia they played their lungs out and it ended 0-0 draw.
Second game was with Belgium, it ended 2-0 in favour of Morocco.
In the final group game, they beat Canada 2-1 and won group F.
France shattered the dream for Morocco_ France beat Morocco 2-0 to qualify for the FIFA World Cup for the second time in row and fourth overall.
Morocco played brilliantly against the World Champions( France).
France might have won the game but Morocco won our hearts, by their magnificent play and fighting spirit.
It shall be sweet memory of 2022 that the first African nation to reach the semi finals, proud of Morocco, love, dedication, honour to Morocco they have done wonders_ till Morocco reach the final in 2026.
Morocco's two defeats at the 2022 World Cup  came in the matches where they had two highest ball possession figures of the tournament(61%. Versus France and49% Versus Crotia.
Before these two matches, Morocco averaged just 31% ball possession and gone unbeaten in five games(W3 WD 2).
Crotia drew 0-0 with Morocco on MD1 before beating them in the Third Place Play- Off Match, Crotia 2- Morocco 1.
Africa is proud of Morocco, What a Coach and Team!

P.S: Argentina have beaten France: The defending champions 4-2 in Penalty Shoot-outs after the action packed 3-3  draw in 120 minutes of Football.
This is the Third World Cup Trophy for Argentina won under the tutelage of one of their very own: Former Argentina Footballer: Lionel  Scaloni Head Coach. Argentina won FIFA World Cup tournaments of 1978 and 1986.
Team Argentina will take home $ 42 million, Prize money set- aside for 2022 FIFA World Cup Winner.
