Poem
Why must I go through the fiery deep just to love you Endure unjust actions Why did you love me in the first place Yes I know that life and love offer no guarantees I just know what I am worth Then you send me through the fiery deep an I forget my worth and meaning I loose sight of myself loving you Making excuses for why you do what you do to me Although your punches were never physical they are still painful and take much longer to heal Did you just forget my meaning as a women as a person Once upon a time you were my protector and now I need protection from you from the love that you give me I wish that my love was as easy to turn off as it was to turn on How did I allow you to be so convincing The signs were always there Your words hypnotize me and I forget the reasons why I am in tears, pain an unhappy I have taken your lies I have taken your absenteeism To the point that I hate myself I can’t stand the rain It is constant down pours of emotions Because of you I will never be the same inside My words bounce around the room Due to the fact that you constantly ignore them I am screaming because you hear nothing else You were suppose to be the one The one, the one We were suppose to be better than this I remember when life never got me down because my head was in the clouds I had someone special to come home to To talk too A friend A love Who thought of me We had an unreachable connection And now I can't see the good in you anymore Nor do I really want to It’s funny how life is Like how one bad thing can out weigh a million good things So finally I have just had enough It is to the point where the bad out weighs the good Love is to beautiful for me to continue in a relationship where it is taken for granted, mistreated, misused and love, just isn’t love anymore
