Poem
Your birth welcomed me back home What a great surprise and joy, like flowers’ bloom You, four lovely babes filled my world with gladness Got all the big smiles upon seeing your charm and cuteness But rain came and covered you up with mud You couldn’t see my beauty yet, but I knew you felt bad So helpless you were, but I prayed for my magic hand To save you all my tiny dear puppies, I first knew I can Successfully, you were moved in a cozy little bed All saved and cleaned up, my heart jumped over my head I watched and took care of you while I was still around I knew I’ll miss you all when I’ll be in my borrowed land You were one of the reasons why I’ve enjoyed my vacation Apart from our great and very happy grand clan reunion You were so adorable to pump milk from your mom But there was a race among siblings, you were like human At first, I noticed two among you have delayed growth Til one was left behind, your mom’s milk could no longer support I bought an expensive pup’s milk for the smallest among you-so tiny To catch up its growth, didn’t know he’ll soon have disability My heart and focus went more to him - my dear Pillow Who was always bullied by his siblings and slept on him, too He was also the most unwanted puppy by his picky mom But my mama was there to take good care of him on my behalf Mama said that Pillow, my adopted pup didn’t grow, blind Epileptic, with walking disorders – his fate wasn’t so kind I learned that he was smart, well-mannered but frail and sickly On his death, my heart broke, so hard to hear his destiny His siblings were adopted by our relatives and mom’s friend But I’ve just learned, the biggest and smartest one died in the end He was ran over by my uncle’s car drove by my older brother My heart torn into pieces, his death was even more horrible May you rest in peace my dearest Pillow, the two of you My heart is now drowning, my tears are going to overflow Your death was on the same day, did your brother go with you? Maybe in heaven, not anymore a bully, he’ll love you as I do. I pray that your other siblings left will grow and live longer In the hands of the their adoptive parents and masters I know, you two will give joy to the children in heaven You’ll meet uncle-dog Pandac, Saver, others, even Beethoven Dec. 11,2022 10.05pm not for the contest
