Submitted Dec. 9, 2022 Wooed by the Spirit's Immaculate Grace, The Blessed Virgin Mary couldn't say 'No.' Well, she could've, but the Incarnate Embrace let her choose to love Jesus, so... Now thanks to her, we can know... ...Peace, from the Prince of Peace, The Peace the world cannot give! He must increase-- we decrease! Our Savior was born for us, to forgive; "The Way, Truth, Life" shows how to live... ...As a child of Mary, the Mother of God, (The Mother of the Son) of God is Love! Holy Christmas card greetings aren't a facade, But the joyful start of listening to the Dove: "This is my beloved Son..." spoken from Above. Christmas is special because it's Jesus' birthday; Do we remember to offer Him our heart as a gift? He's not distant from us now, in a manger, away; His loving Presence is sensed in our heart's uplift. Sticking close to Mama Mary's Heart, we won't go adrift! :) A Christmas Special Poetry Contest-- Sponsored by: Emile Pinet (til Dec. 30) (Type of poem: Quintain = a/b/a/b/b) References: ~Incarnate Embrace: Luke 1-- "35 And the angel said to her in reply, 'The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God'...Mary said, 'Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.' " ~Isaiah 9:6-- “For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.” ~John 14:27-- The Peace the world cannot give-- "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid." ~John 3:30-- "He must increase, I must decrease." ~John 14:6-- “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me." ~1 John 4: ...We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him..." ~Matthew 3:17 (etc.)-- “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!” ~Away in a Manger Christmas carol lyrics
