In my heart – where only God
Knows my thoughts, my best and worst…
There lives a dream, a hope that breathes
Hues of light, inspiration’s insight
Into my yearnings, my joy, my burning
Desire for the wonder and elation,
All the dreams that inspire and thrill.

In my heart – where only God can see
I feel this feeling that often encourages me
It is a faith that colors me free, makes me see
That this joy that follows me – is a feeling
That His love brings to me, reassuring
Promising to bring me through every storm
Past all the doubts – erasing the darkest gloom
Coloring my hope in a brilliant hue of love –
Love that is His gift to every heart who listens…
To the promise of His gift – His forgiveness,
His unending grace…

In my heart – where only God knows me
My best and my worst, the happiness and hurt,
All the dreams that make me work…
The hopes that fill my soul, the music that abides
Where I can hear it singing life and light,
There in the heart – there is a part of me
Who knows that He is alive and He brings me peace
He is the power behind all my best moments
He is the wonder who fills me with overflowing thanks

In my heart – where only God can see
I feel the sunshine breaking through the clouds,
Coloring my world in hues of light – life
So abundant and fulfilling it restores, it adores
It brings wisdom that makes me feel whole
It shines down to erase all the worry, every doubt,
Each struggle becomes a past skirmish,
Something that is a mere memory, hanging out
To remind me that I have the answer to every need,
He is there with me and I will always believe…

He is the One who stands beside me
When I hesitate to believe, when doubt dissolves my dreams…
He is the One who makes my dreams reality
With Him, I have the assurance that I can always know
Peace that destroys every anxiety – hope
That never allows me to feel discouraged or down
Love that is forever with me, guiding me forward,
Guiding me home – toward the One who made a way
For me to live through everything that comes along

In my heart – where only God can see…
There is a place that I go to be with Him,
The One who lives – He survives every sorrow,
Every sadness and hurt – He is the One…
Who is stronger than all doubt. He is the answer
To every struggle and every prayer… He is there…
In my heart – where only He can soothe and calm
Restore my faith and silence all that is wrong!

In my heart – where only God can see…
There is a love more powerful, with more peace
Than any power that I’ve ever seen, any serenity
That I’ve ever felt – with Him in my heart…
I am sure that every breath is a silent prayer
Every dream a gentle grace, every admiration
A way to say – He is my God – my everything!
