Only thing is at closing he said the only way we can get back to a true marital relationship as being One with God is for “us to allow Him” to clear out the clutter of all the shallow religious servitude & worship after the lusts & satisfaction of our flesh. Which includes not only our vain effort to attend church, but also (our) prayer life, (our) songs of choice, (our) sharing the scriptures, (our) fellowship, etc. for in doing so we’re serving & worshipping God after our will rather than His. For it just becomes “church”, & that’s all. But I love how he brought it toward us individually, as well as unto the whole. Scripture always does that, for we are all the same!!! We’ve all turned to go our way for God, rather than His way for us. The fact that he said, (we have to allow God) let’s me know he has yet to see, we can do absolutely nothing within & of ourselves to return unto God. Jesus himself said, Of myself, I can do nothing!!! And no man can come unto me, unless he is drawn by My Father. Even Jeremiah in chapter 10:14-23; wrote the same. The only way we can return unto God is by God’s fiery wrath of judgement alone. You can read it in Hosea 5:11-15; & 6:1-2; The Apostle Paul was always reproving the early churches, cause they too, were satisfied in coming together to worship, same as was those whom Jeremiah reproved in the very scripture the pastor read. Heather, look at 1st Cor.11:17-34; you’ll read where Paul scolded them as well as their leaders & teachers. There in verse 34 he said, If any man hunger, let him eat (at home), speaking of our inward spirit man’s communion with God alone, before gathering together with one another. When we feel the urge or need to worship with one another carnally, we only continue feeding our flesh which is contrary to the will of God only to destroy ourselves with the whole, or many who enter the wide gate & broad way of the world church!!! ?? Heather, sadly the world church is made up of us, individually as a “temple” of the Lord, but it’s not established “of the Lord”, but rather “of our own spirit & will”. And where two or three are gathered in “our will”, for the name of Jesus, we have a mess!!! For scripture reads, There’s none righteous, no, not one: There’s none that understandeth, there’s none that seeketh after the will of God. (They are all) gone out of the way, and (together) in my temple, they have become unprofitable; there’s none that doeth good, no not one!!! It goes on if you read Romans 3:10-18; Thats what we’ve all become who make up the world church of soooo many different traditions & doctrines of men’s temple of God. The first part didn’t bother me at all, cause I’m very familiar with children’s church, most all of em draw the children along with the adults into “their form” of worship!!! That’s what makes the world go round!!! Good vs. evil!!! Always been that way, & will end that way, but God will be the winner!!! For He’s over it all, individually as well as the whole.
