Poem
What is this, what is that, who is this? There are words that we don't repeat twice Especially when we omit the little cedilla Please, my country is an island, a peninsula A very pretty country swimming in many seas It is a sovereign, resilient, proud and free country Despite the sufferings and the bitter genepis My country is not a pond in the sea It is an oasis where fish of all colors Dive then rise to hover in the air I thought democracy was synonymous with happiness Freedom, the will to express ourselves as we want According to our ways, and according to our wishes I thought democracy was synonymous with truth To be able to speak out without hesitation. Now, I am upset And disappointed, I can hardly speak or brag about the American Democracy, which is in ruins and wearing an old outfit This is a legacy almost lost due to the selfishness of some Corrupt and greedy politicians and vicious morons Oh! So many young soldiers gave up at will their lives for democracy So many cities and countries have been bombed because of democracy So many mothers and fathers have cried vociferously for democracy So many activists have been beaten and lynched for democracy So many poor orphans have suffered because of democracy So many honest politicians have been vilified for democracy I could go on without stopping until eternity, until infinity We must denounce injustices, brutalities and all hypocrisies That obviously corrode and poison our democratic society I never knew there were so many fakes in blue, white and red These foxes or hyenas are disguised in patriotic uniforms What a mountebank! They are dressed up as snakes and move Like chimerical animals. Democracy is about doing the right thing Democracy is not about lying, stealing, cheating, and bribing I am uncomfortable since democracy is the antonym of autocracy And dictatorship. These pseudo-democrats are slobbered with crabs The fascists and the supremacists want to take power manu militari By force. The unpatriots want to steal all the elections The fascists want to suppress the votes of the sovereign people The antidemocrats want to silence the voice of the American people The fascists want to eliminate the votes of a once united people Democracy is in danger. There are things that need to be fixed Congress must grease the democratic machines and amend the laws.
