People who act like they care 
are the ones who were not there 
what they did was so unfair 
not a minute they could spare 

Turning on you when you’re down 
laugh and joke like you’re a clown 
to bring a silence to your sound 
talking of the grief you’ve found 

Making bad days even worse 
crying when you’re in a hearse 
then rewriting what occurred
now it seems they put you first 

Like a predator finds the weak one 
friends target the friend half beaten 
as in their head they are competing 
sensing victory they’ve been seeking 

When all the help they have been given 
doesn’t figure in their decision 
for this moment makes life worth living 
kick you down in repetition

Friends they talk of don’t look good 
you fail when you’ve misunderstood 
did all to help you that they could 
you didn’t listen when you should 

So now you suffer all by yourself
while they blame it on mental health 
with their intentions set to help 
you won’t listen to anyone else 

It seems regardless of what they do 
you refuse to hear their clue
prolonging what you’re going through 
placing all the blame on you 

Changing reality to suit their narrative 
stating with clarity what they did 
whilst implying you are stupid 
as if a flaw that you live with 

Their confusion gives them innocence 
it removes their guilty influence 
lying’s their survival instrument 
masterminds creating incidents 

Manipulation is an art form 
presented well in uniform 
a following will quickly spawn 
appears the petal but is the thorn
