Poem
Patience takes time to develop and self-control is not easy to handle Wounds heal when words are left unspoken Forgiveness in its prime is heartfelt and your soul is so beautiful Bound to reveal to you my love over and over again You make things new With your love, so true Who knew we’d do the things we do Didn’t know the things you’ve been through I haven’t realized that I’m lost in the woods of your mind… That’s where I hide You’re so gentle and kind — Vitality and vivaciousness is in your serene stride I’m holding on to you so tightly, so freely Not by your side I’m frightened of losing control so easily Where do you abide? I’m numb and fractured in the deep inside I’ve become so injured in my comforting arms tonight I’m somewhat pleased to be by your side I’m your plum of delight and we’re a kid’s kite, so out of sight You make things new With your love, so true Who knew we’d do the things we do Didn’t know the things you’ve been through I haven’t realized that I’m lost in the woods of your mind… That’s where I hide You’re so kind and gentle — Vitality and vivaciousness is in your serene stride I’m holding on to you so tightly, so freely Where do you hide? I’m frightened of losing control so easily Something in me has died I’m healing, yet oh so lost, so lost, lost I’m dealing with life’s expensive cost I’m in appall the moment I fell into the deep unknown I, alone, have felt your pain of all alone, all alone, alone You make things new With your love, so true Who knew we’d do the things we do Didn’t know the things you’ve been through I haven’t realized that I’m lost in the woods of your mind… That’s where I hide You’re so kind and gentle — Vitality and vivaciousness is in your serene stride I’m holding on to you so tightly, so freely Where’s your broken pride? I’m frightened of losing control so easily We’ll get through this tide You make things new With your love, so true Who knew we’d do the things we do Didn’t know the things you’ve been through You make things new With your love, so true Who knew we’d do the things we do Didn’t know the things you’ve been through You made it out alive, oh so alive Without the rue, you will survive Who knew you’d go through the feelings of alone Who knew we’d go through it together as we heal on our own Though we’re concealing positivity I’m oh so lost away Blow away the conniving negativity Of yesterday’s dismay
