Poem
all my deepest thoughts, all my inward reflections surround the mysterious constellation, where is one marvellous star...the purest one! some days, the mythical star, descends to the earth ... when I feel the unbearable grief of separation, and it sings a sublime lullaby of far-away water-falls streaming down the mountains ~ and I feel peaceful and serene as I never felt before. my star “Ashwin”, to me, the brightest star in the constellation, narrates to me all the incredible stories in the history of mankind - of saints and warriors, of philosophers and poets, of brave men and women and their fights through eternity - of Joan of Arc, of Rani Lakshmibai, of Aristotle and Buddha, of Homer and Kalidasa... inspires to heal the world undergoing incredible sufferings, with the magical power it has instilled in human beings . when my heart bleeds...with passions and longings, love and heartbreak, sorrows and griefs, there’s my star ~ gleaming and sparkling ~ embodying all my dreams and desires - reminding the inevitability of separation and sadness in our life - death is inevitable, but not the end, legacie amaranthine. Notes: Ashwin or Ashvin is the first star that appears in the evening sky. In the Indian astrology it is the head of Aries, or the first of the 27 Nakshatra. Ashvin also stands for the divine twins, the Ashvins, the gods of vision, Ayurvedic medicine, the glow of sunrise and sunset, and averting misfortune and sickness in Hindu mythology. Asawin is the Thai variant of Ashvin and stands for the warrior. The term is often translated into English as "knight". legacie - Old French amaranthine : mid 16th century: from French amarante or modern Latin amaranthus, alteration (on the pattern of plant names ending in -anthus, from Greek anthos ‘flower’) of Latin amarantus, from Greek amarantos ‘everlasting,’ from a- ‘not’ + marainein ‘wither.’ November 7, 2022 "Only Star For Me" Premier Poetry Contest Sponsor: Mystic Rose Rose Fourth Place
