To find the light

I had to fight

To keep all my hopes and dreams in sight

Please allow me to make a confession

I went out on a hunt and I murdered my depression

I showcased confidence, i was so dominant

This put me into a position of prominence

I managed to come up with a hypothesis

My illness was declining, it's future was now ominous

I have become an unstoppable force

When I murdered my depression I showed no remorse

Positivity is the answer and my mind is the source

I feel free

My poetry is the remedy

My illness kept on doubting me

The end result was plain to see

My illness tried to flee

My refusal to quit, that was the key

The curtain has closed on depression, I must admit that I knew this would happen

I am the one who stayed in the race, the exact moment I received the baton

I had to remain patient, I had to devise a plan

I was building something special as my empire began

I took so much pleasure while I was ending my depression

I had entered beast mode, I possessed so much aggression

My illness began to fall, it had now entered a regression

No matter what it through at me, I answered every question

It began declining and it had lost all direction

My performance was so tactile, i had perfected perfection

I'm so passionate at what I do, I love to show so much expression

As my mind began to elevate, my pain began to lessen

To talk on stage one day inspiring people, this will be my profession

Goodbye depression, you will not be missed

You're the one whos been destroyed and I'm the one who still exists
