Poem
The sun shines through my window though dulled somewhat by a glossy barrier. A barrier of slight ocean blue meant to bring a coolness to this room. A coolness and a sense of privacy. Privacy meant to seclude, to soften, to bring intimacy and love to a head. Here there is only us, only ourselves, entwined and together or separate and unique, and yet still combined with this sweet lusciousness of fate. Our fates laced together and brought to light by the sun itself interjecting itself into this room even as it's toned down by the blue between us. The heat itself now a gentle hug enveloping me as my eyes slowly open. On this morning I arise, a smile holding space from night's embrace. My day begins to unfold. The smell of my morning coffee, a deep aroma of love and being. It fills this room with a presence unmistakable. The counters painted lavender, the favorite color of both my wife and I, a color of highest vibration and imagination, which begs you to listen. The days spent sanding, painting, reveling in the work when finished. The love imparted here which colors the whole room, indeed the whole house, with just a little more soul. Breathing in the scent Coffee pleasantly swirling And becoming love. My heart gushes at this new beginning and I'm thrown into thoughts. Thoughts bubbling like a creek which, meandering gently along its chosen path, brings life merely by being itself. And then there is me. My life my own, my choices leading me to where I've chosen to go. Sometimes without a destination I've still arrived. I've still discovered there is love within. And on this day, I see that I have this unrelenting love, reminding of my wife, her blue eyes the still and reflective blue of lakes undisturbed. Her gaze which melts my heart and warms me on even the coldest night. I long for her embrace, the merest touch as she walks by which always makes me shiver in delight. Her presence lights a fire in me and I'm making plans to create, to create a path to happiness that will cradle our love withing its own. Within my heart love A desire for simply A love exalted.
