8/9/22 What good if they judge by the color of skin Got to do better instead of teaching that to kids Still telling fibs On either side of the ridge Yet again another burned bridge Soul cold like the temperature of the fridge It all hits close to the crib Always calling dibs Out to take everything not going to give Such a bull way to live My mind continuing to spin Where do I begin I'm turning on the lights so that it's no longer dim All over the place is where I've been At times it all got grim I could've sunk god forbid if I did Luckily I fought on and knew how to swim What good if they torture Causing horror Interrupting balance and order Becoming a hoarder Even though days are numbered, aka getting shorter On any side of the border Still many don't know the whole truth, half or even a quarter What good if they are evil The outcome turning lethal Having to do with an upheaval Was this way since times were Medieval Yet only slight changes in people Some of it good, much bad instead of being peaceful Near and far from cathedrals In the end it was judged if it was considered illegal Then what was left stuck for the seagulls As well as any beetles What good if they betray Doing the opposite of what they say Oh well it's typical, so go about your way Never let it ruin your day Trudging on no time to stop and pray Atop the clay Underneath the moonlight or sun's rays Feeling the mist from when waves crash and spray What good if they hate animals Always out take a cut like everything is taxable Never once did it for survival, instead chose to be a cannibal Opinions and views always radical Bouncing around up and down then diagonal Taking place in the outskirts or within the city capital In places deemed flame-proof or highly flammable At times Mother Nature made areas impassable Just being practical Remaining tactical The outcome often anticlimactical Moving on, learning things that are invaluable After all fallible What good if they decide fates Too many being like snakes Acting like they are in the right place No need to pitch my case At time it was high stakes Going beyond anything to do with ice skates Or tracing back to primates What good if they just take advantage Causing so much damage It can't be solved with a bandage Or just trying to manage What good if they are known to backstab Damn that's sad Never once could we get past that Followed by the last laugh Or another flashback Always flipping sides like flapjacks
