There is no free market
greed controls supply and demand
the market cascades bi-polar
and the pendulum swing's getting out of hand
republicratic tyrants stake claim on our tax
they waste and pocket as they see fit
caught and send a fall guy for that
and everybody takes advantage of the poor ole working class
can you see their broken spirit
the well to do spit in their face
and they have no energy to do anything about it
seems the world has become barren of good will
like a desert where the only thing that grows
is the sand upon low, naked, scorched hills
and we were all told
and everybody knows
we have become slaves
drowning in the flames of monthly debt
with no way that our daily pay can pay
the needs of the upper class make sure of this
as they sell you down the widening pipeline
that leads to utter poverty and homelessness
try and save some money
for a rainy day
and the devil just comes along and plucks it all away
one way or another
dog eat dog and this world that teaches all of us
to eat each other
and we are all sisters and brothers
cold cruel and mean
the world smiles
in her eyes the gates of hell can be seen
there is no American party
looking out for the well being of
those who enjoy going out and working hard for their money
no, there's no working man's party
an honest days wage will not pay for the necessities of modern life
the monthly bills add up so fast
that the stress keeps me up sometimes all night
I worry about my kids
and I worry about my wife
I worry about loosing my home so much
that I sometimes break down and cry
and I never cry but I have learned and now I know why
for debt, we all must lay down and die
I think about the thirty five dollar bounced check fee
that they charged me five times
because of the automatic payment
that I don't even remember agreeing to online
I know I'm not the only one
Reader, do you feel my pain
can you see the world sliding down into hell
like some kind of run away train
will you raise your voice
come let us rattle the cage and make some noise
or do you belong to the high and mighty
proud, secure, and financially responsible
in love with the world and her society
come take advantage of people like me
yeah, come take advantage of us
come take advantage of the meek
while we patiently wait for the vengeance
to be delivered by the mighty mighty hand
of the glorious Christ Jesus
