Lonely shadow of wind swept grain 
Longing for her caress, so sweet 
As the birds mourn with forlorn tweet 

Lonesome wind laced with dark red stain 
Her time had come to fade away 
She wished she had more time to stay 

The morning calls for kiss of rain 
Dew quenched the drought of missing her 
But falling leaves gave the answer 

The blown out souls mourned in deep pain 
The night stole the light of the day 
Though angels came to sing and pray 

For they will not see her again 
Until the time for fellowship 
They wished she will not lose that grip
