"Distant" When winter came it came fast cold as a witch's t*t unwelcome and unwanted, we hesitate to move any further within the forest's interior alarmed at how swift the transfiguring of a season, begins we think, now that in itself, a dangerous thing, what course of journey, this? looking upwards perplexed, questioning a glowering grey sky like lost Tumnus We all have winter breathe upon us in the footsteps we try to follow, but somehow they just don’t fit we walk outside the melting imprints to find best fit the journey takes us far from home the cold calls we anticipate they arrive, sometime when we least expect, the doors and gates close we feel the fire inside a heart alight standing stalwart in the mist of us, like a singular lone lampost flickering beyond our limits we whistle with the cold wind to make of Winter - a kind friend somehow we find the frost of isolation, consoling humoured by its failure to beguile us, numb a new season spins us in, we become like snowflakes beautifully alive for a short time randomly falling on the hearts and lives of others we are merging in the silence affording us, the beat ups poetic internal conversations with that part of the story that is terribly aloof hidden and missing inside us we are gossamer light suspended in its crystal somewhere within we knock on the many doors behind one ensconced in central core it watches and it waits rubbing its palms together, warm in our wanting to be just, and unjudged let in eventually all in good time it whispers we hear it like a feather falling in the chilling breeze distant (LadyLabyrinth / 2022) “Narnia Music, Winter” / Peter’s Soul https://youtu.be/hsl7O-_ZsLk "There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.” "The seasons alter: hoary-headed frosts Fall in the fresh lap of the crimson rose, And on old Hiems' thin and icy crown An odorous chaplet of sweet summer buds Is, as in mockery, set. The spring, the summer, The childing autumn, angry winter, change Their wonted liveries, and the mazed world, By their increase, now knows not which is which." "Eternal Life is gained by utter abandonment of one’s own life. When God appears to His ardent lover, the lover is absorbed in Him, and not so much as a hair of the lover remains. True lovers are as shadows, and when the sun shines in glory, the shadows vanish away." symbolism.
