MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR STRENGTHENING ME

Thank You for strengthening me against discouragement
So that I can surmount with faith trials’ entrapment
As a steadfast saint by Your presence of mighty empowerment
Never more to wallow in frustration-sentiment.

Thank You for strengthening me against dissatisfaction
So that I can overcome worldliness’ vexation
As a fortunate heir by Your salvation of assured redemption 
Never more to complain with discontentment-reaction.

Thank You for strengthening me against dishonesty
So that I can resist cheating’s intensity
As a converted believer by Your forgiveness of gracious authority
Never more to struggle midst righteousness-certainty.

Thank You for strengthening me against disturbance
So that I can conquer fear’s dominance
As a valiant soldier by Your strength of strong endurance
Never more to cower because of fright-grievance.

Thank You for strengthening me against disrespect
So that I can subdue humanism’s intellect
As a transformed learner by Your guidance of wise aspect
Never more to ponder midst vanity-retrospect.

Thank You for strengthening me against distress
So that I can rejoice over gloom’s duress
As a jubilant Christian by Your sovereignty of supreme fortress
Never more to linger in failure-stress.

Thank You for strengthening me against dismay
So that I can move on from downfall’s delay
As a repentant sinner by Your pardon of merciful way
Never more to compromise in worldliness-array.
