Poem
I ask myself ‘Where am I?’ My soul answers not, but gives a sigh Looking at me, confused and lost Was my old self I loved the most Looking at me, with tears in eyes Says my mind as high it flies Down it gazed at the burning self At the rays striking its every shelf ” Your heart so pure as that of a child Has been hit with pessimism As youth passed by and made you hide Your innocence and optimism You have a lot, they may not Have this simple, loving self Within you it dwells don’t take it out Let it fight and gain triumph Where have you gone I want you back Don’t leave me here, and walk this track Where have you gone, my warrior? Hold your sword and fight the black Forces of time shoved your past Deep down the dreadful sea Will you let them take the rest Of the person you used to be? They may have won the battle But you have won the war When faith craves to meddle Failure will knock their door They may seem powerful And thus reach your city But never will they handle The wisdom of your country When needed, Have mercy, offer a bite Goodness is not weakness But don’t go far Keep your might That’s the person You truly are Know one thing and don’t forget A day will pass and you will starve So have faith and don’t expect Of them a tiny little bite They’ll turn their backs and just ignore You’ll get hurt more and more As u hear their words so sore That you betray your inner core Perceiving goodness as weakness Just as they made you believe Have faith and consume nonsense Hold your sword and just leave Keep them wondering Keep them envying Let them remember Their own hunger How the child deep down their minds Looked at his toy breaking down Right in front of his bare eyes He wept and begged for his crown Make them remember When they needed a hand They saw you there You made them stand Though to you, they were unfair Come back later Let them taste bitterness Let them weep and cower And heal them with forgiveness One coming from ultimate power That’s how it deceives us The unfairness of life By sending forces of misery, of loss To give in and throw our knives So Be wise warrior and hold your sword Be wise warrior and fight the world”
