Through most of my life I have had this never ending childlike foolish pride.
Feeding on praise and boasting of my accomplishments with reckless vanity.
I have crowned myself Queen in many instances and have lived in a castle
that exists only in my mind.  None of this is based on reality and is doomed,
for it leads to being alone with narcissism.  Saying to myself you are divine! 
I have kept people at a distance incase they figure out the truth.  The truth
that I am balanced on a lofty pedestal about to fall, and the facade that is
me is about to shatter. So, I let go of Ego . . . 

on a vision quest
my spirit found butterflies . . . 
               transforming rebirth 

Here, now, I have been reborn through exploring the map of my life, and
reading the chapters in a huge book that has been written of all my days.   
With the help of my spiritual animal, the butterfly, I can see the journeys,
some rocky, some dark, some flat, some mountainous.  I have crossed
calm seas, and wandered parched deserts, traversed difficult terrains.  Met
Goblins in deep places. I see now that Ego was a protection from the truth, 
of my fear.  But, here and now, I also see the courage, wisdom, strength
awareness collected.  I, no longer need the cloak of Ego  . . . 

forests saturate
with birds songs and flowing streams . . . 
look back   step forward
