A buzzing worker bee in spring
spawning life with sweet kisses
to flowers and organic things

A petunia smiling in July
An autumn's breeze brings 
an evening cry

So fragile!

An infant lies alone in its cradle
longing for their mother with her ladle

A little boy playing with his toys
without a care
An old man stops and smiles with 
nostalgic stare

So fragile!

A teenage girl teetering on giving herself
for the very first time
Thoughts and fears racing through that
developing mind

The earth's crust shakes and cracks in
seconds without a warning
A deluge engulfs a city in minutes and holds inhabitants hostage for weeks with no sign of calming

So fragile, this place
So why is there so little embrace?

So fragile, our time
So why do we play games with the mind?

So fragile, we are
So why is trust as distant as a star?

Fragility is all around
So, why can't love be found?
