Being embraced by the Son
Is like a prayer being whispered,
Words of light and life being spoken
Into the early dawn where He smiles
In hues of amber, softly fading
Through clouds so pure and delightful
They imitate the smiles of His heart

Being kissed by His gentle love
Touched like a child, cuddled, cherished
Adored like I’ve never known before
With rhythms of acceptance and joy
Words of life in soft hues of promises
Aching that knows there is only relief
Found in the One who brings grace,
The One who mends hearts and quiets
Anxious souls with a knowing, a hope
That is alive and opens the door to peace

Being loved by the One who is love
Is like a sense of joy lifting the smiles
To new heights, new inspirations, newness
That is more alive than the imagination
New light, new praise, new awakenings
To intimacy with the heart who knows me
Much better than I know myself, the One
Who lives inside, abiding where I hide…

My faith, my hope, my love… the joy
That falls down from above, sent to me…
As a gift of His amazing, generous friendship.

He is the way, the truth, the life…
He is the One who inspires my entire being
He makes me feel like I can do anything
With Him beside me, residing inside me…
I can overcome. I can heal. I can breathe in…
The wonder of His gifts – gifts of tenderness
That will always make a way for intimacy…
With the One who is my life, my heart, my soul…
The One who makes my heart overflow!
