Both sayings and both words pertain to knowledge or the lack of knowledge. "My people perish for a lack of knowledge, and because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will reject you." Hosea 4:6. The reverse side of the coin applies only to believers who believe in the literal. Instead of the spiritualistization  of our God's Holy Scriptures. Praise be our Lord God!

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and the knowledge of the Holy One of God." Proverbs 9:10. "And you shall seek Me and you shall find Me when you shall search for me with all of your heart." Jeremiah 29:10 

Even the information about the twelve tribes of Israel are also being spirtualized by so-called Biblical scholars claiming that it applies to the church and not just the selected Jews! That are mentioned by their tribes in Revelation chapter seven! According to Jesus in Mathew 15:7 We are instructed to leave those blind guides who are guiding the blind, to fall into a pit. 

That does not mean we should not pray for their blind eyes to become open to the good news of the Holy gospel of our beloved Lord Jesus Christ.

That does not refer to blind guides leading people who are physically blind! It refers to blind spiritual guides leading the spiritual blind instead, The pit refers to the destination of His people, who perish because a lack of knowledge.

 It is God Himself who does not any of His followers to be ignorant of His doctrine! "Where ever ignorance is bless, it is a folly to be wise!"  God would turn the expression around to mean that it is a folly to be ignorant but a blessing to be wise!

"In the last days many false Christs and false prophets will arise and show signs and wonders and deceive many.." Mathew 24:11 ..."If it were possible to deceive the very elect. "Mathew 24:24

Some people claim that the Mark of the Beast is spiritual and others claim that it is physical! Some people believe that it is both! The Mark of the Beast and the number of the Anti-Christ's name is 666! What is the mark of a Satan possessed and empowered man! 

All of those whose names were not written in the Lamb's Book of Life before the foundation of the world! And who are still alive during the tribulation! Will indeed take the mark of the beast for themselves! Even though many will believe they will forfeit their everlasting souls by doing so! Even though they have the knowledge they will still also perish!
