A book of ancient wisdom inspired by the one who made all things included these words of instruction to those choosing to wed.Let the marital bed be without defilement. Let us begin by discussing the word defile. To sully, mar, profane, desecrate. The relationship of marriage along with its attendant tribulation has the perk of a means of expression that is found no where else with the makers approval. It is therefore a sacred arrangement.A relationship set aside as different from all others. Through this special relationship a home is built. One in which children have the benefit of two loving parents ,each bringing an aspect to child rearing the other cannot. The purpose, to love and instruct the subsequent generation to love and ideally love the one (God)who made the family possible. This familial love then branches out to love of neighbor as self. Thus you have a happy world. The fall of society undoubitably linked to the the fall of the family.Take for instance the Roman empire that started its decline within the structure or lack of the family unit. Men bring a stability to this structure being as It were support beams.Women take it from house to home feathering this nest for the comfort of all contained.Once again ideally God should be The homes foundation. In a world with many and varied a viewpoint on this layout, this design has been compromised to what result? As in the fall of the Roman empire it begins and ends with conquest.Conquests in the form of war which separates a couple for long periods of time. The breakdown of the family began in the wake Of the first war. Divorce a rarity till then.Seeking Comfort some stepped beyond the boundaries wisely set in place thinking what is not known couldn't possibly hurt.Till.Till the soldier returning was met by a faithful wife and could not look her in the eye.Or that fluke of nature the faithful man came home to find he had fathered a child with wife from the other side of the world. The resulting shame to the betrayed of feeling so thoroughly not enough tested the marital bond often to the breaking point. Enter the step parent.Who may or not love this overnight family as their own.Ask yourself is it a little thing? An act of indiscretion truly pulls the wheels off the bus that is at present careening downhill without the benefit of brakes. It is the rare individual in our day who is so safely grounded they can weather that storm in one piece.Repair is possible but rare as well.
