Poem
Have mercy on my breaking, aching heart of impure lamentation Consumed in iniquity and now, I’m in shards of devastation Baby, illuminate me by my side and yesterday, you were around Happiness as of late decides to give me dismay…I’m gravity-bound I haven’t died trying to receive Your illumination and I will believe Held captive in the captivity of my heart The shadows consume me from the start Rolling in death’s cart, wondering if you’ll ever set me free from despondency Falling away and shattering apart, meandering through the forests of misery Held captive, But I’ll live… What’s left to give If my heart can’t take anymore of this life? I am tired of living life, worthless and full of strife… That delivers us from a fate of fearlessness — it cuts like a knife Falling away into the deep end, all alone Baby, illuminate me all the more please Spiraling anguish mends me on my own And turns into gladness and joy at ease Held captive, But I’ll live… What’s left to give If my heart can’t take anymore of this life? I am tired of living life, worthless and full of strife… Still wondering if I’m suitable enough for a winsom wife — I ponder in distress I’m swimming in the seas of woefulness and hanging on a single thread Swinging on a string like a puppet in a puppet show with or without dread Baby, illuminate me by my side for a better tomorrow and stay with me Sadness will disappear in no time as long as sorrow will leave us delightfully I haven’t died trying to receive Your illumination and I will believe Held captive in the captivity of my heart The shadows consume me from the start Rolling in death’s cart, wondering if you’ll ever set me free from despondency Falling away and shattering apart, meandering through the forests of misery Held captive, But I’ll live… What’s left to give If my heart can’t take anymore of this life? I am tired of living life, worthless and full of strife… That delivers us from a fate of fearlessness — it cuts like a knife Falling away into the deep end, all alone Baby, illuminate me all the more please Spiraling anguish mends me on my own And turns into gladness and joy at ease Held captive, But I’ll live… What’s left to give If my heart can’t take anymore of this life? I am tired of living life, worthless and full of strife… Still wondering if I’m suitable enough for a winsom wife — I ponder in distress Safe inside my mind I know you left me behind If you can be so kind, Make me less blind Illuminate me, baby Baby, illuminate me Illuminate me, baby Baby, illuminate me Safe inside my mind I don’t mind, Letting time unwind Make me less blind Illuminate me, baby Baby, I can’t live free Without you, I worry We won’t be illuminated by tranquility I haven’t died trying to receive Your illumination and I will believe Held captive, But I’ll live… What’s left to give If my heart isn’t illuminated by you? Set me free from catastrophe But, I’ll live life abundantly I will thrive all my life to be happy, Giving you cheerfulness without a fear too
