Poem
'Take it, or leave it', the feelings of certain things. No big deal; stay or go; be or not be. It makes no difference whether hot, lukewarm, or cold. But some Things are 'to die for', and Others; not. Some things move us, and by them we are driven. We live for them. We eat, sleep, and die for them. Things about which we are the most passionate. I am passionate about family, freedom, legacy, privacy, and uniqueness. I have the need to know that my FAMILY is sheltered, warm, fed, and secure. "Give me liberty (FREEDOM) or give me death"; that fits me well. You choose; I choose; a must for everyone; the right of free choice. It's the God-embedded seed that He planted in every human being. I believe in tomorrow and LEGACY. I live my life with a passion and plan that allows for my hand and my imprint to be an impression upon the future. You have what belongs to you. But 'this' is 'my space', 'my time'. There is the sacredness of PRIVACY, and to invade it is 'anathema.' Each of us is 'One of a kind', 'the genuine article'; made, not in China, but in heaven. One of the top stories of my life has been 'the battle to be me'. Others sought to 'remake me', 'shape me', 'mold me to their likeness'. I fought back and would have none of it. I believe that there is in each of us a code written by the hand of God that tells us, if we dare to accept it, that UNIGUENESS is our personal knight and shining armor. 051722PSCtest, Your Passion Poetry Contest, Regina McIntosh
