You weren’t seen coming; this woman you are now;
Here you are though;
And in my ineptness;
I’m left dog paddling;
At the deep end of the pool. 
      It seems never completely dark;
     And even in the midst of an upcoming storm
     I see light through the clouds;
     Leaving me unprepared;
     And immersed in water the coyote sits unattended.
Butter melts; and drawn by you are those;
Sweet tantalizing words;
That crumbles the tallest of walls.
And the river righteous;
Now runs crimson; from hearts that have bled.
      And from the world of forgiveness;
      There seems no escape;
      For one must forgive those of who no not;
      And while holding a shield above his head
      The knees of the defender buckle
