sitting in some type of sand
listening to the angels whisper
the water is flowing like gentleness on calm
a rare smile creeps up on me while watching the water with Mom

thinking back on the good times
staying there as the emotions consume me
the music in my head all have central themes of calm
a lone tear decides to elongate its constipation as i watcch the water with Mom

building a sandcastle as the benevolent waves crash
decorating it with pink and green confetti
i kiss the sky a Thank You and the reply has a contented tone of calm
oh what a Perfect Blue Sky Day to watch the water with my Mom

realizing that the time is near
understanding the reality as my bladder reminds me
i am glad that i took Mother's Day off to embrace the inner maternal calm
i immediately Give Thanks To God for a rare chance to watch the water with my Mom
