Poem
Pontius Pilate, Governor of Judea, asked Jesus, "What is TRUTH?" One actor replied to another actor, "You can't handle the TRUTH." TRUTH is not beholding to space and time. Jesus Christ declared that He was THE TRUTH. That TRUTH, Christ, was put to death by crucifixion. Indeed, had Christ not risen, there would be no TRUTH.* TRUTH does not waver but stands alone and never roams. TRUTH stands strong, assured, secure, solid, and stable. TRUTH seeks neither approval, favor, nor promotions. TRUTH can never be relative, altered, or debatable. That is the basic reason that 'our TRUTH' is no TRUTH. That is the reason that I have no regard for a TRUTH That begins and ends with mortals like you and me. Knowledge of the TRUTH has the power to set us free. 'Our TRUTH is robbed of liberty, riddled in rigidity, and has no solidity. 'Our TRUTH' binds mankind in captivity without regard for legitimacy. 'Our TRUTH', the TRUTH we conceive, or the TRUTH we perceive; Or the TRUTH that from here and there we have received; The TRUTH that we have come to believe; the TRUTH That belittles everyone else's 'so called' TRUTH that Is not TRUTH anyway, but yet we spend our time Trying to convey a TRUTH so much like our own That tends to lead others astray. This truth I say, Is the decaying kind, and it never survives the light of day. The 10 commandments were etched in stones by the hand of God. Those tablets of stone were carried in the hands of the prophet Moses. Those stones were broken, but God has written eternal TRUTH in our hearts. 042822PS *This poem was written for ''Contest", but I lost track of the timeline and never entered the contest. I decided to post anyway. 5722cj
