To her I wanna give flowers
I want to surprise her with the most expensive necklace
I desire to take her out for a vacation in Miami
She absolutely wants to see me
Getting the most romantic dinner recipes
Irresistible desserts of chocolate mousse
She wants us to have a memorable Valentine's Day
Absolute Valentine's madness.

Last Valentine I plucked some rose flowers
At Anyang' Nyong'o Botanical Gardens
And wrapped them in a plastic transparent paper
I had not enough to buy an expensive necklace
But at least I afforded one
The dinner recipes reflected the significance of the day
Red wine with white meat at Kempinski
That's the injection she needed for the day
And of course I topped up her bank account
What else can one offer on such a day?
To do all these I stabbed my academics
And went ahead to use the school fees
Absolute Valentine's madness.

At night she was trending in the media
On every man's status and page
A guy declaring her as the love of his life
Another appreciating God for creating her on a Monday
When He had strength and all the zeal
With a secret account I saw her post a lad
As the pillar in her life and all she had
And I was blocked from viewing
Absolute Valentine's madness.
Romantic love on a Valentine's Day is absolute madness
My conclusion and opinion
It pricks like thorn and pinches so hard
Valentine's day, absolute madness!
