Poem
I had to be a people pleaser cus nothing pleased my mum I never got approval she made me feel so numb So I needed TLC and to hear the words “well done” It made me easy peasy I was treated like I'm dumb You’re telling me it’s my fault for being how she taught as long as I fall short I need the drugs to mask results She believed the bloody worst in me now I believe it too And since I’m so very useless what on Earth am I to do the friends I found were ego feeders selfish through and through and being just a nobody was all I ever knew So when chances came they kicked me down And just like Sue they'd go to town too selfish to be satisfied my helplessness their honoured pride They are all just little nobodies with image to protect The sort to take a people pleaser leave him as a wreck they are overcompensating for the things they have not got The girls don’t ever look at them the girls don’t think their hot They think they’ve lost a friend and that they did no wrong They say it’s all my fault as they have said all along Praise them their so perfect and let’s sing a classy song, let’s sing a classy song, how the brilliant live on Fakers make denial with their superficial traits They do everything perfectly and always blame their mates Heavyweights with tongues talking narcissistic dumb They can alter falsify and rise as champions Talk until they visualise fulfilment for their missing lives where self reflection terrifies posing perfectly a prize And I am beaten battered broken cut open I am potent the nucleus is choking devoted number one opponent If you were a friend of mine down until the end of time And I left you a friend behind do you think there's no reason why? Deny the facts and make up lies Believing in your alibi’s Never been accountable Have you worked it out yet fool Who knows when the boys grow to men talking grown up but act like children I don’t feel for them, as they still depend words are worthless when the talk’s pretend
