April 11 Scripture Meditations Based on Ezra 9-10

Key Verse – Ezra 9:8 And now for a little space grace hath been shewed from the LORD our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.  

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME YOUR GRACE

Thank You for showing me Your grace midst sin’s bondage
As You forgive me along my confession’s courage
So that I can be revived from guiltiness’ damage
Ever sanctified by Your pardoning gauge.

Thank You for showing me Your grace midst iniquity’s captivity
As You deliver me along my repentance-sincerity
So that I can be cleansed from dishonesty
Ever purged by Your transforming purity.

Thank You for showing me Your grace midst deception’s confusion
As You enlighten me along my truth-seeking action
So that I can be illumined from evil’s corruption
Ever guided by Your wise direction.

Thank You for showing me Your grace midst trespasses’ heaviness
As You help me along my admitted weakness
So that I can be guarded from wickedness’ filthiness
Ever kept by Your empowering faithfulness.

Thank You for showing me Your grace midst transgressions’ entrapment
As You free me along my escape-struggles’ predicament
So that I can be liberated from worldliness’ involvement
Ever led by Your heavenly discernment.

Thank You for showing me Your grace midst pride’s insistence
As You humble me along my abased existence
So that I can be chastised from hypocrisy’s pretense
Ever disciplined by Your loving holiness-persistence.
