Poem
The enemy tries to destroy lives He thrives on darkness, dread and death He likes to tell the spirit lies He whispers fear into the depths of men Taking away their faith in God’s plan When one repents and believes in Him Who was sent into the world To bring the soul salvation from hell And give us hope of a heaven above Where there will be unconditional love – The fear of death is less powerful The fear we felt when under conviction Fear that reminded us we need a Savior One who will redeem our heart and soul From the sin we need deliverance from… Is a fear that should be no more Once we’ve been introduced to the Savior The One who made a way for us At the foot of the cross, there is salvation The fear of the Lord, a reverential fear Is such a wise feeling, a fear That reminds us we are small, an child, in His sight And He can, like any good Father, Chastise us for our sin – even though We don’t always understand Fear is the devil’s tool to fool us Into believing we’re not the children of God Never allow your heart to fall under The spell of the enemy who would like you to believe You aren’t really saved, - you’re still going to hell Know that our Father, Who is deserving of our reverent fear, Will never leave us nor forsake us We can never be plucked from His grasp Even though He may chastise us for sin He will never let us fall into hell Where the devil hopes to obscure our faith Beneath the darkness of his hatred We are children of the living God And He is abiding inside our hearts Never let the devil put fear inside you That produces a fear that should have been Put behind you when you were saved By the gift of grace poured out on us Who place our faith in God’s Son, Jesus Christ John 10:28 (KJV) 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
