Poem

Comes from that within our being,
Of things felt, and not always seen.
This encompasses all things of most worth,
When describing all those born unto this earth.

All the looks and things we have,
Are not really us, and can’t bring happiness.
But what is in us, the good and true,
Is what defines the where and who.

I know that being happy is a goal,
Which is a thirst within each soul,
Which can only be quenched,
By leading a goodly life, and godly role.

There are many people who are examples to me,
Whom I want to emulate, what they emanate.
They are prophets, leaders, teachers, family and friends.
I want to not only be with them, but up to them.

The Spirit of God is what transforms and heals.
He has place in us, to reform, revise and reveal.
I want to live with Christ again, so I strive to let Him in.
With His hand to hold, He will always help me begin and win.

Lord, I need Thee to come make me new.
I am only here, to live and die for Thy love and truth.
Please, sanctify me with Thy proof, and justify with Thy Holy Spirit.
I need Thee to carry me into Thy holy sanctuary to inherit.

This is my quest, to do my very best, and let Thee have all that’s left,
To pass this my test, and return home with all thou hast promised.
To rest in Thy divine presence, in Heaven, ever growing,
Knowing, and showing Thee, my love for all, I’m eternally owing.
