Hope came to life inside my soul When I realized I’d been saved to the uttermost By the One who lived then died on a tree So that I could know Him as the light of love Who shines bright, destroying every fear in my heart Hope awakened a joy within my spirit When I comprehended the news that I was someone Who had found the light of a love, a wonder Beyond any description, any knowing, anything He is more sure than the moon and stars, the sun Cannot shine brighter than His pure, sweet love Hope stirred within my heart where I know Him The One who is a promise, a prayer, a psalm, forever My inspiration, my kindness, my reflection of belief In the light who prepares my heart for the freedom That comes to life inside the soul who knows His grace His whisper of love giving second chances, redemption Love that is stronger than the sun’s reflections Raining down joy that uplifts and feeds the spirit With an adoration, an affection, that abides on the inside Of the heart who knows that He is God’s light And, He is life and love – He is the joy from above Hope rouses the feelings of elation within my heart Because I know the One who is filled with sweet love He inspires my thoughts to listen to His words Believe in the promises that He has left me with Lingering in the waters of His amazing, lasting grace The blessing of a love that is filled with assurance That He will always be there, just beyond a prayer Where I know He will reveal His kindness, His care And reassure my spirit that He will always be there Hope silences all my fears and reminds me why I can say I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams, with blessings That penetrate my spirit with feelings of God’s power His overwhelming gentleness, tenderness and relieves me Of every sorrow, each dread, all the worry that brings distress He reminds me that I am loved and I can live on these prayers To the One who makes a way where no way has ever been The One who guides my heart through the darkest dread And assures me that I am loved much more than I can comprehend Hope spoils every damaging word, all darkness, all alarm With a feeling of His light pouring through the hearts Who know Him as Savior and believe He has been alive Within the spirit of those who know His love is prepared To strengthen every spirit with kindness, peace and love That comes to life inside the heart who knows this light Reflects the wonder of a life who gave us so much more Than we could possibly ever thank Him for… He gave us A second chance, forgiveness, a way to come to terms With all the sorrows, regret and disillusionment that remind Our lives are His, paid for with a price that was higher Than any price we could have paid… with Him, there is A true and living grace that awakens spirits to the assurance That Jesus is alive, living with us, living within us! And, I hope He knows the way that I praise Him!
