The Collection Plate,

'Tis a simple sacred place of worship bearing no weight, whereto, one's faith unchallenged, accepted universally.

A complement of thrice their numbers, religious qualities as true servants, pronounced by their autonomous tenet gathered did they; a pastor, a priest, and a rabbi.

They'd planned to divey-the-spoils that overwhelmed the plate and being their first meet, contemplation lagged on until ...

... the pastor leads the others to some worship central root and he had suggested, a circle is drawn in worships core where he'll stand in its center, throw the plates monetary yield up in the air, whatever falls within the circle goes to the Lord, and whatever falls yond, is theirs ...

... yet the priest said, he'll draw a line in the core of the worship area then
toss the plates monetary yield up in the air and whatever falls on the right side of the line, is the Lord's, and on the left side, is theirs. 

Prefaced a standstill impasse, until the rabbi took the two in deliberation, out from the sanctuary as the rabbi suggested to the pastor and to the priest, of
his marbles for enlightenment by relatively launching the plates monetary bounty skywards to the opened air then what the Lord grab's, His and what falls earthward, ours.

The Throwback Challenge

NOTE: 'Twas ere long ago lost inceptions whence the
          semblance of characters, unexpectedly, shifts
          professions ironically, resonating a parody. To
          date, still wrapped in vagueness, writes I this
          advent of the late '70s sorts a parody abound
          my workplace, dispersal betwixt departments
          complicates the employee of the wherewithal 
          wailed satirical composition access to a major
          national magazine, whereto, their discussions
          via a letter, care of my workplace, and affixed
          substantial check, in the transients eyes of a, 
          teen entering young adulthood, after marking
          initials and signing agreement returned I did,
          nevertheless, rumors, still unproven, appears
          it was Tom Hanks, who worked as a bellman,
          done the opportune deed -- matters naught,
          as milk pours unspoiled, the honey's sweeten
          ergo, thanks befall the unknown, parody told.
