This morning I was shocked beyond belief! When a female called me at my home telephone number and told me the following scam information: "You have just purchased an Apple I-Phone for $499.00 and the money has already been withdrawn from your account."

"I replied: I didn't do it several times. I have never purchased anything from E bay in my entire life I said that several times. And finally when I said that I didn't do it for several more times! She hung up on me! What were they after? Personal information which they did not get from me!

I made two frantic telephone calls to my local Everett credit union about that call.  Because I really believed that E bay was trying to scam me! 6 YA told me that "E bay doesn't do things like that. It was just a scam call trying to get your personal information. If it ever happens again don't say anything just hang up."

I asked my credit union if there was a $499.00 withdrawal from my account? She replied, "No, there is only $26.00 dollars pending. But because it is pending I cannot tell you who it was from." I replied it is only for $26.00 and to forget about it, it probably was from the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews because I just donated to them $25.00.  Maybe it was them I just didn't know," Afterwards we both hung up and she said," Roxanne, the next time something like that happens just call us,"

I called both Kelsey and Cindy about holding my check because I did not want it to bounce!  Both Community directors told me not to worry because they would hold my check.  And to contact my bank immediately! When the money was not deducted, I notified Cindy that my check was okay and to process it because it would not bounce!"

Cindy told me that there were several on-line scams, but I told her it was over the phone instead. When she wanted to know if I contacted E bay, I replied and told her that they called me instead!

She said there a lot of scams about people calling claiming to be from the phone company, the cable company,  the light company, the garbage company all of the time.
I told I was a writer and that I was going to write about this on Poetry Soup. She gave me the green light and said it was okay!

I want Poetry Soup to be on the look out for scams in their areas. Concerning, E bay and others! If they call you just hang up the phone and do not reply to that fraudulent e-mail scam artists! Some people will do anything for money!
