Beatitudes blessings and commentaries Q and A continued: 3) Q: In the third Beatitude Matthew 5:3, what is meant by the poor in spirit? A: The poor is spirit could mean the humble in spirit as polar opposites to our old Stantic human nature of arrogance and pride! Q: What is meat by the statement: "for theirs is the kingdom of heaven? A: It means just exactly what it says on face value: the poor in spirit will: have and gain accessible free admittance into the kingdom of heaven! 4) Q: In the fourth Beatitude Matthew 5:4, what is meant by Blessed are they that mourn? A: My deceased younger brother Dale told me frequently that, "he mourned his life," because it was miserable and he could not wait for God to end his life. To mourn is as compared to the loss of a loved one to untimely death. It means to mourn over just how wicked this current world system really is! Q: What is meant by they shall be comforted? A: Jesus Christ will end their miserable mourning by reassuring them that He will make everything in their life alright! This can take place on earth and will take place in the kingdom of heaven! 5) Q: What does it mean in the fifth Beatitude Mathew 5:5 "blessed are the meek?" A: While I was still a Baptist I was taught that meek people do not care if they get any recognition for their work or good deeds or not! By such a definition I can no wise be considered to be meek! Yes! I take the credit for my work. But I also give God both all of the credit and all of the glory as well! I also thank all of the people responsible on my main poetry web-site! Other terms for meek can be poor in spirit and humble as well! Q: What does it mean by "they shall inherit the earth?" A: First they will inherit the l.000 year Millennium rein on earth with Jesus Christ And finally they will inherit the new heavens and the new earth and the New Jerusalem! All of those who are: poor is spirit, meek and humble will enjoy their righteous inheritance both on earth and in heaven above! Praise be the Lord Hallelujah! Hallelujah! A-Men! A-Men!
