Poem

Sometimes you have to keep speaking the same stories. 
And yes, it does make one feel annoying and boring. 
But it’s how we work through the past with its failures, pains, and glories. 
It’s how we start to let go of the tormenting memories we are storing. 

And I have so much more to write 
If I’m going to let go of some past nights. 
It’s like rubbing the ointment on the wound
It’s not immediate but it helps healing happen soon. 
Or at least a little quicker than it would have on its own. 
 I have much to heal from, even (I thought) fully grown. 
So I wonder what I’ll see, I wonder what will flow. 
I wonder what will be, and what emotions will decide to show. 
My therapy is here, I only need an empty page. 
My therapy is here, unlocking joy, pain, rage from their cage. 
I know it won't heal right away, but might help me find
The traces I lost of my peace of mind
