Poem
When days of old Are pure as gold And memories Shine on A joyful chance A circumstance I look forth to The dawn When memories Of cold worries, Bring back heartaches Of pain Reviving hurt And all the dirt I Relive that Day Again The horrid dread Ugly things said And that gloomy Cloud moves on To days of Gold Greyed mists Of old, Stealing The brand new Dawn Forgiveness is Forever's key Healing my heart, Dark memory I stand upon a Seashore Past oceans Of regret Where He once washed my sins away and Promised to Forget This golden day Shines all around His blessings Oh! They so Abound! Yester's darkness may not linger It's commanded To depart! I'll walk in joys Of heaven For my Savior Owns my heart Forgiveness washes over my soul I'll choose His way As my own goal Oh Lord, Your Grace has set Me free Please save and Bless those Who've hurt me Shining bright Dear Heaven's Light Away the dark of Hellbent night 'Forgiveness' Surely is the key It leads to sweet Eternity And heals my soul's Dark memory 3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him.” ~ Luke 17:3 9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. ~ Matthew 6:9-13 34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. ~ Luke 23:34 KJV
