"Monsters in My Head" the small gods inside of us worry too much they speak in tongues that never know the depth of what is real or not for tongues they never think they just have a taste for blood trading gossip whispering all along waving electric ear to ear the message implanted inside us, now unheard lost in the laundry of us day after day, year after year the truth, of what we once possessed inside us at time of our arrival, at birth, the true essence of us, as bones expand in growth, we slowly disappear long long ago the puppet in us gave over our strings to greenback oily war barons apocalyptic politics, playing out our cards with Charon Styx and stones bombs and fuselages toppling towers people falling like confetti prime time beheadings, all a bad dream, but words, one word, the word will never hurt us we feast on cans of worms unable to turn the switch off we have new idols for sleeping with www 666 Alexis answer me this is Siri our friend, or just some new spiritual experience? or is God in the machine? our new friend and saviour we are up to our eyeballs and ears worshipping the new idol we all adore our relationship becomes stronger and closer daily in our hours of greater exposure the sun never touches us anymore we are shut up in our cribs indoors swallowing capsules of Vitamin D and the overcooked meat of media produced snarling dark matters we are by the spoonful fed saturated fat from childhood we become the walking dead McDonalds is a child eating clown Pizza conspiracies abound butterflies and triangles, strange new symbols, codes to communicate used by the Hell Hounds not human, lower than animals, some children snuffed out and never found we are all processed and conditioned from birth to believe in something but never The Nothing hiding under our beds or the grinning sharp teeth waiting for us in the shadows, you know, that vicious monster, it wants out of the closet we are told from birth, the boogie man doesn’t exist, go back to sleep child, it’s all a silly myth in Babylon we are serialised numbers birth certificates become bank notes all citizens commodities pledged as collateral for the National Debt what is right is right and what is wrong is left ... of the dregs of us, we move along like sheep baling out the oily woolled wolves the gluggy sleep that conjunctivitis in our brains becomes glue that sticks pandemics still reach us through our eyes, we breathe it all in the same old same old same old sad song we all sing in our nightmares pointing the bones of fingers to startled dreamers who chance upon us we become lost in our never never lands with the Charlie Foxtrot demons in their dreams we are just as taken aback for in our dreams they once were our friends and allies the war in us begins to never find peace or a pleasant ending, it’s always on repeat the churches deposit in our hearts their revelations we now await their nightmare, delivery, rapturous stairs to heaven, we become jello without some faith and belief, we are told there is no hope for us - to become Light, or crystalline to hold onto something unbelievable, the myth that whispers its prayers, is something unfathomable, the good in our dreams watches us, unseen and silent the all-seeing watcher waits within we walk barefeet without any real knowledge of what is true we are told faith will see us through what is really real and what after all is yet to come we all follow suit left or right or in between not many of us lead for believing in something unbelievable we listen to the best beat up news playing it over and over for us, they do, like the rhythmic beating of a tattoo, they march us to its deadly drums the owner of us, now in this moment, perhaps not God who's god is right? and who's god is wrong? they play us like billiards we're sunk in velvet cushioned holes soft for the falling for when it all goes down turning to rivers of turgid brown who will truly stand in battle to die for what is truly perceived right and good belief in the ever watching internal number, 1, still remains watching us from within interdimensional high eternal number 1, that all watching, Blue Sky Eye humanity is borderline this sorry world bipolar we follow the breadcrumbs the story becomes older who believes in God? and who believes in monsters? they say eventually one word “Love” - The 1 Word wins the war killing all monsters within it all began a long time ago there are storm clouds darker than we've ever seen now rolling in ...
