Poem

When in twenties
I felt life was shallow
A meaningless existence
Was earning, eating and sleeping life?
Is there a bigger purpose for existing?
Someone suggested read Bhagavad Gita
First time I read it
I had a Deja Vu
It seemed I had read it before!
I read it in detail and found answer to my quest
I am soul not body
Body is mere clothing for soul
Aim of human birth is to see the soul
End this saga of birth and rebirth
After salvation, lead an eternal, blissful life 
with God and other souls

I wanted salvation, 
For this I met many spiritual Gurus or preachers
Had many extraordinary experiences
They convinced me 
their is lot more to be seen and experienced
than what meets the eye

Of recently I got a doubt
What is the proof that I am soul?
Why is soul invisible like God

On pondering I realised
I know this body will die 
yet I behave as if I will live for eternity
I want to be young for ever 
although old-age is the reality of life
I seek happy blissful life full of selfless love and care
a thing which is not possible by humans

Despite my intelligent brain why do I aspire these
That is because I am soul
These three qualities belong to soul
It never ages, never dies, 
is always blissful under agape love of God

Now I need to concentrate more on myself that's my soul as against the body and selfish world and give it salvation
Experience blissful life that lasts till eternity
