Poem
Now here we are, two-thousand years ago Where we watch the Man of Sorrows, walk down Golgotha's road. Beaten and torn, He stumbled and fell. The true pain that He felt, no one else could tell. He was wounded and broken, He was scourged and bleeding. Dying for the world, for sinners, He was pleading. He was nailed to the cross, for the sinners and the lost. Out of His very love, He did whatever the cost. As He hung there in pain, with every breath that He took, He prayed "Father! Forgive them", as they all stood there and looked. The sin debt was paid, for with His very last breath, He cried out loudly, "FINISHED!", then hung His head unto death. He was taken down from the cross, and laid in a borrowed grave, For the whole world He was crucified. For us, He came to save. Three days had passed and they went to the tomb. For every emotion but hopelessness, in their hearts, there was no room. When they finally reached the grave, to their surprise the body was gone. The thought of His body stolen, in their minds, kept persisting on. They had mourned for those three days and yet His body has gone missing. It only added to their sorrows, and their grief to be gone, they were wishing. Then suddenly, in a light, the Man of Sorrows appears. He is risen from the dead, and now gone are all their fears. He appears to the disciples, the apostles, and five hundred more. HE'S ALIVE! THE CHRIST! OUR SAVIOR AND OUR LORD! Oh Grave, where is your victory? Oh Death, where is your sting? The Man of Sorrows is no longer dead, He is risen, our victorious King. Now the Man of Sorrows waits, to this day, still it is true. He waits to change our hearts. He is waiting... for YOU.
