Poem
Crystal light in the sky is in your eyes I want to fly into your warm arms, no lies Having the time of my life, of my life, Admiring the daylight with no strife So many colors vibrate in the tranquil twilight, Looking forward to the bright starlight tonight Rue doesn’t exist here anymore, anymore My mind’s going a thousand miles ashore Yes, my soul is no longer damaged with distress, can’t deny Sometimes, I hold back and I’m considered so shy You’re so beautiful and sparkly Success is what I feel inside me Because I have you, Evaporating the rue All I want to be is your diamond that sparkles on high I wait and wait patiently for His prudent, earnest reply — Set us free from our woes right now God breathes through our nostrils and makes a sigh somehow To make us whole again To make us beautiful and then He shines down from heaven and gives us a sign We are made to be beautiful people and so divine Once, I wore this frown around town While living this life that cuts like a knife Now, I swore in my soul that I’m down To shine bright with my might all my life Let that sunshine in your eyes forever illuminate and shine…what’s yours is mine Like us both carefully and delicately dining with the sweetness of sugar wine Rue doesn’t exist here anymore, anymore My mind’s going a thousand miles ashore Yes, my soul is no longer damaged with distress, can’t deny Sometimes, I hold back and I’m considered so shy You’re so beautiful and sparkly Success is what I feel inside me Because I have you, Evaporating the rue All I want to be is your diamond that sparkles on high I wait and wait patiently for His prudent, earnest reply — Set us free from our woes right now God breathes through our nostrils and makes a sigh somehow To make us whole again To make us beautiful and then He shines down from heaven and gives us a sign We are made to be beautiful people and so divine My bewildered mind can’t take this any longer Our spirits soar dreamily, for they forever conquer Remedies and sunshine — we will eventually find End the rue in our lives and find peace in mind, in mind Shamefully harming ourselves won’t due, true Harming ourselves only undos strife and rue Rue doesn’t exist here anymore, anymore My mind’s going a thousand miles ashore Yes, my soul is no longer damaged with distress, can’t deny Sometimes, I hold back and I’m considered so shy You’re so beautiful and sparkly Success is what I feel inside me Because I have you, Evaporating the rue All I want to be is your diamond that sparkles on high I wait and wait patiently for His prudent, earnest reply — Set us free from our woes right now God breathes through our nostrils and makes a sigh somehow To make us whole again To make us beautiful and then He shines down from heaven and gives us a sign We are made to be beautiful people and so divine We will live and never perish or die Our Heavenly Father will listen to our every single cry The wind blows through the mountains and makes the majestic eagle soar It gives us a sensation we cannot ignore, for God is the only one who I adore Relieve me from depression’s hold and let not my heart grow cold Make me strong and bold and let my wings of flight unfold Rue doesn’t exist here anymore, anymore My mind’s going a thousand miles ashore Yes, my soul is no longer damaged with distress, can’t deny Sometimes, I hold back and I’m considered so shy You’re so beautiful and sparkly Success is what I feel inside me Because I have you, Evaporating the rue All I want to be is your diamond that sparkles on high I wait and wait patiently for His prudent, earnest reply — Set us free from our woes right now God breathes through our nostrils and makes a sigh somehow To make us whole again To make us beautiful and then He shines down from heaven and gives us a sign We are made to be beautiful people and so divine Don’t feel alone in the undertow Woe to the darkness down below Feeling numb, but I’m still recovering Understand that our love is blossoming Love yourself always before others Love, don’t harm yourself because it injures It injures me too It injures me too Harming you won’t due I hope you know it’s true We’ll survive this lifetime of rue As long as you endure like you do Rue doesn’t exist here anymore, anymore My mind’s going a thousand miles ashore Yes, my soul is no longer damaged with distress, can’t deny Sometimes, I hold back and I’m considered so shy You’re so beautiful and sparkly Success is what I feel inside me Because I have you, Evaporating the rue All I want to be is your diamond that sparkles on high I wait and wait patiently for His prudent, earnest reply — Set us free from our woes right now God breathes through our nostrils and makes a sigh somehow To make us whole again To make us beautiful and then He shines down from heaven and gives us a sign We are made to be beautiful people and so divine I won’t do you harm, For I’ll keep you warm in your lonely dorm Hold me close arm to arm I will be your poem, even in the rainstorm Whatever weather, run this race Never be a regretter with vast grace You and I will conquer for the better With a trace of remembering to no longer be a regretter Written by Sharon Breidenthal and I
