New Year's Resolutions This new year marches into view Brooding and still with empty calendar pages For this pilgrim on a pilgrimage past new mile markers Engraved with resolution quoting harmony Among the spheres. “Make a difference with what you have.” *Like the holy artisan multiply the bread of forgiveness in vibrating tones of grace *A simple offering of soup for empty cupboards, one warm coat, a prayer *Seek with breathless anticipation of doing kind deeds, downbeats in intervals of benediction “If you can’t say something nice don’t say anything at all.” *Let go of atonal clutter to refresh the stable of my spoken heart *Leave a leaf from the trees with healing for the nations upon the floods of unforgiving tirades *let my words learn to be missionaries, ambassadors with a procrastination of judgements “Each of us is needed and each of us is necessary.” *As the reverberating planets, sun, moon and stars in modulating modes *To look through eternal eyes at every creation with lively spice of appreciation *Joined in energy with the Creator’s hand overflowing to accomplish creation’s plan “Live in gladness” goodwill, gratitude and harmony to be at one. *Savor gratitude like sweet fruit upon the tongue – speak praise in thankful tones *Revelry at dawn for sacred opportunity that joins the day in semi-notes to twilight’s rotation *Hear the music of the spheres hum gladness into unheard harmonic synchronization “It was always said of him that he knew how to keep Christmas well if any man alive possessed the knowledge….as good a friend, as good a master, as good a man as the good old city knew.” *Keep the frequency of hope in meters of evergreen entwined throughout astral choirs *Guard candles lit in a stable that shed eternity's flame on mountains bowed - valleys leveled - *Herald of the cherished eternal Word – steward of a walk in music of heavenly spheres "Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me!" *Let my whole being shine with love that fires the universe *Let the work of my hands bring peace and harmony to my small corner of creation *Let me never dismiss the true power of prayer sung in faith 12-15-22 Based on Strauss' Harmony of the Spheres Contest: Resolutions for 2023 Sponsor: Anoucheka Gangabisson Quotes come from a sermon, Bambi, scripture, songs and writings that influenced poet and Dickens
